The 2027 Combating Racism Series will take place virtually on January 19, 2027, in recognition of the National Day of Racial Healing. This year’s theme is Racial Healing, and the committee welcomes proposals that explore this topic from a range of perspectives.
About NYLA ESRT
NYLA ESRT serves as a forum for sharing information and resources related to ethnic and multicultural library services. The roundtable fosters collaboration with allied organizations, promotes the preservation of cultural history and knowledge, and supports the professional development of individuals engaged in ethnic services.
Presentation Formats and Evaluation Presentation formats include:
- Presentation Sessions: 45-minute presentations addressing emerging or current issues.
- Panels: 75-minute discussions or interactive sessions on relevant topics.
All proposals are welcome. Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to the theme, clarity, originality, and intended audience. Presenters are not required to attend in person. Please note that honoraria and expense reimbursement will not be provided.
