The DLIS Student Association (DLISSA) is a student chapter of the American Library Association (ALA), chartered in 2010.
DLISSA organizes and presents the Annual Student Research Symposium, part of St. John’s University’s annual Student Research Month in April. Students from all LIS programs are invited to submit proposals, as well as graduate students in the St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Throughout the academic year, DLISSA organizes and hosts Webinars covering various professional development topics, presented by alumni and other LIS practitioners.
All students enrolled in the MS LIS program are members of DLISSA, regardless of ALA membership status.
