The Facilities & Delivery Assistant works under the direction of the Facilities & Delivery Manager to ensure the building and grounds are properly prepared for employees and guests; support the shipping, mailing, and receiving of materials; perform hands-on maintenance services and coordinate maintenance with vendors as needed; and assist with emergency preparedness procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Customer-service focused, with at least one (1) year of experience serving internal or external customers
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
Starting salary: $45,000-$50,000.

The Techmobile Assistant Intern assists with the operation of the Nassau Library System Techmobile, a mobile digital literacy classroom and outreach vehicle, and provides support for member libraries and community partners in their digital inclusion and community engagement efforts, to gain practical service experience and learn more about how public libraries support community members in need of technology education and library services and develop local partnerships. This is a non-union, temporary position.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current enrollment in a library science, or a related education, social work, or technology Master’s program
- At least of one year of experience in a direct customer service role
- NYS Drivers License in good standing (CDL not required) and the ability to operate and fuel a Sprinter van in all weather conditions
- Evening and weekend work as required, based on schedule of Techmobile events
Compensation: $24/hr for up to 18 hrs/week, or Master’s program credit.
