Ph.D. Student Opportunities in Archival Studies: Funding Available

Interested in archives, documentation, and records management? The iSchool, the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies (SISLT) invites you to join our Ph.D. program!

Benefit from faculty expertise in archives, records management, cultural heritage, digital preservation, and archival technology, as well as inclusion, diversity, and equity, information policy, information history, and user experience. You will have the chance to work on active research projects related to community archives and media preservation.

How to apply:

The priority deadline to apply for the Ph.D. in Information Science and Learning Technologies is December 15, 2021; the regular deadline is February 15, 2022.  We only have admissions for fall term. Students may pursue the Ph.D. on a full-time, part-time, on-campus or off-campus basis. Please visit our website for more information on how to apply.

Funding opportunities:

Selected students for assistantship positions will receive funding to cover tuition, along with a stipend for living expenses during the fall and spring semesters, and health insurance for the entire year. Continued funding is contingent upon work performance, academic progress, and the Program. All Ph.D. students are eligible for funding for conference travel and research support.
