New York Archives Conference 2021 Call for Proposals – Submission Deadline: November 8, 2020

The New York Archives Conference is pleased to announce its virtual 2021 conference to be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 (for the live event; posters and prerecorded content will be available beforehand).

The New York Archives Conference Program Committee seeks session proposals relating to archival issues and efforts undertaken in any number of combinations by archivists in a variety of settings. We are hoping to create a diverse program that involves traditional presentations as well as lightning talks, debates, and other formats. We encourage members and non-members who live, work, are enrolled in a program of study at a school in New York state, or are otherwise affiliated with a New York-based institution or organization, to submit proposals on a wealth of archival topics including (but not limited to) selection, arrangement and description, reference and access, preservation and security, outreach and advocacy, archives management, digital asset management, ethical and legal responsibilities, and emerging technology, processes, and services.

The Program Committee especially encourages session proposals relating to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility; how archives can best serve, support, and collaborate with underrepresented and marginalized communities; and social justice.

Please complete the online form at https://forms.gle/bJB2zEyASanRe7hu5 to submit your proposal.

PROPOSALS DUE: MIDNIGHT EDT. NOVEMBER 8, 2020

You will be notified of the program committee’s decision no later than January 15, 2021.
