Description: The Stephen B. Luce Library seeks a Library Intern looking to join a unique opportunity at the State of New York’s only maritime academy. The Library Intern will learn about technical services operations at an academic library. The intern will have the opportunity to develop skills in:
- Copy Cataloging
- Acquisitions
- Inter-library loan
- Collection Development and Weeding
- Digital Projects
This is an in-person internship, 5-10 hours a week
Requirements: Prior library experience not required. Students must be enrolled in an MLIS program. Applicants should possess a strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship but can be used for credit in an MLIS degree program.
