The Innovative Library Classroom (TILC), a regional library instruction conference celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, invites applications for an intern. This volunteer position would run January to June 2023 and can be fully remote.
The TILC intern’s responsibilities will include:
- Generate, edit, and publish items to social media related to the conference
- Participate in conference planning meetings
- Assist the co-chairs in updating the Website and with other communication needs
Candidates should be current MLIS (or equivalent) students or recent graduates, have experience (personal or professional) with multiple social media platforms, and have an interest in library instruction. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and reliably meet deadlines. It is estimated that the work will take approximately 20 hours total, with the bulk in January, March, and May. If the intern is local, they may also be asked to at the conference itself, June 1-2, 2023. (The intern would be given free registration.)
Interested persons should send a cover letter discussing the areas of strength you would bring, particularly in the area of social media, and resume to [email protected] by December 16, 2022. Questions about the position can also be sent to this email.
