From an email:
Hello,
This is a call for chapter authors for a new, forthcoming book entitled “Health Literacy and Libraries,” to be published by Medical Library Association (MLA) Books, in cooperation with Rowman & Littlefield. The new book aims to be a practical and engaging resource for information professionals. The book will provide a compilation of relevant research and evidence-based practices for health literacy work in libraries, including instruction, programming, and outreach for a range of diverse communities. If you are interested in this opportunity, we invite you to fill out this Google Form by December 15, 2022, to help us better match potential contributors with tentative book topics: https://forms.gle/Lu7pF1Px6YnpwTj8A
Please feel free to forward this call to colleagues and graduate students who might be interested in writing a chapter for the book.
The editors will review all submitted topics of interest and identify cases for inclusion in the book. Invited authors will be contacted and sent chapter guidelines in early 2023. Full chapters are expected to be in English, between 4,000 to 6,000 words, and submitted by April 1, 2023.
Thank you in advance for your consideration. Please email any questions to the editors.
Best regards,Emily Vardell (Emporia State University) and Deborah Charbonneau (Wayne State University)
