NJLIS Thematic Issue: LIS in the Climate Crisi -submission deadline: February 28, 2023

The Nordic Journal of Library and Information Studies, NJLIS, now welcomes submissions offering empirical, theoretical and/or historical perspectives related to environmental and climate themed library and information-oriented research. Themes of interest include, but are not restricted to:

  • Green libraries/sustainable libraries
  • Climate-neutral library activities
  • Search engines and environmental information
  • Environmental information practices
  • Environmental literacy
  • Environmental policy and libraries
  • Volunteer initiatives and environmental information
  • Collections of literature on climate and environmental issues
  • Patrons and environmental information
  • Visualising/modelling environmental issues
  • The role of algorithmic platforms in shaping environmental information
  • Climate change denialism
  • Mis/dis/malinformation and the environment
  • Information avoidance and climate change

This is a call for papers to the journal’s seventh issue, which is a theme issue due to be published in June 2023. Deadline for full papers: February 28, 2023.
