The Michigan State University Libraries is excited to offer an entry-level librarian an opportunity to further their training and begin a rewarding career in academic librarianship. This resident librarian program supports the Libraries’ and the University’s commitment to achieving a diverse faculty and provides the opportunity for the Resident to experience three years of library work in an area of interest along with experiences in other areas as desired, professional development, and mentorship. This holistic experience will give the Resident a competitive advantage in the search for a future professional position. The Michigan State University Libraries are part of the Association of College and Research Libraries’ Diversity Alliance that supports residents and residency programs across the country.
