Named after a former Library Faculty member and DLIS alumnus, the Garino scholarship is awarded to a student having a grade point average of at least 3.5 who demonstrates a commitment to the service of others. Leadership experience is a plus. The experience must be voluntary and includes service at organizations such as libraries, archives, museums, and non-profit service organizations. Internship experience may be included.
Eligibility criteria: Students having completed at least six credits in the MSLIS program are encouraged to apply. The application can be found here.
