Museum of the Moving Image offers a summer internship in its Collection department. Graduate students in Library Science programs or related fields are eligible to apply. Intern would be expected to work a minimum of 12 hours per week. Please note this work would require working on site at the Museum.
Duties include:
· Draft a retention plan for museum documents in various departments
· Review materials from institutional archive, ensuring retention of sufficient copies
· Review and organize staff library and books in the collection
· Assist in dispersal of deaccessioned items (includes researching institutions for
potential transfer)
The internship is unpaid and housing is not provided. College credit may be granted, but must be coordinated in advance with the intern’s university/college.
