The MS LIS program is fully online.
The master’s degree program entails 36 semester hours of graduate coursework. Degree requirements include the successful completion of the following:
- 4 Core Courses (LIS 203, 204, 205, 239)
- 1 Management Course (choose one from LIS 240 or 243)
- 7 Electives
- The e-Portfolio
MS LIS students can select from the following advisement specializations:
- Academic Librarianship
- Archival Studies
- Legal Information Professional
- Public Librarianship
- Special Librarianship
- Youth Services
MS LIS students may earn the Certificate in Management for Information Professionals concurrent to their MS LIS program of study.
