Maria Cotto is the Bilingual Children’s Librarian at the Pawtucket Public Library in Rhode Island, where she has worked for nine years. Her focus is on programming and collection development for the Latino population. She is one of the founders, and current chair, of the Rhode Island Latino Books Award (formerly known as the Rhode Island Latino Books Month Award), which began in 2014. As a Latina, Maria shares and promotes Latino Literature to all readers.

Rebecca J. Gomez enjoys writing stories as much as she enjoys reading them. When she isn’t reading or writing, her favorite things to do are baking, creating art, and hiking through the woods with her husband and three grown children. She lives in Nebraska, where she grows a salsa garden every summer! Rebecca is a recipient of the RI Latino Book Awards for her book “Federico and the Wolf.”
