Temporary Japanese Project Cataloger -New York, NY

From an email:

My name is Lia Contursi and I am the Head Cataloger at Columbia Law School Library; I hope you don’t mind my taking the liberty to inquire with you about interested new catalogers graduating at your School.

We have recently posted a Temporary Japanese Project Cataloger position. We have a rather large collection donated by a distinguished Japanese justice and we are currently looking for some extra help to catalog the collection fully. We are a library participating to the Program of Cooperative Cataloging and train catalogers to become experienced in applying all the national cataloging standards.

I would be grateful if you could forward the job description to any recent graduate of your School who may have an interest in this position. We are considering entry level catalogers who have an awareness of the most recent cataloging instructions and a solid knowledge of the Japanese written language.

To view a full description of the job I am pasting here the link to the official posting:

With many thanks,
