Music and Memory Meeting

This meeting is for libraries interested in learning about the program AND libraries who are already offering Music and Memory to their community. We need your input!!!!

Please join us on Wednesday, November 1st (10:00 to Noon), to learn about the Music and Memory (personalized music therapy) program. This program is designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia and other degenerative neurologic diseases. SCLS Outreach Services has worked with Dan Cohen, the founder and Executive Director of the Music and Memory program, to customize the Music and Memory process, to better fit the needs of the public library. While Dan’s focus is on people living in nursing homes and other institutionalized settings, our approach is designed to  use this program to serve and enhance the lives of community members who are still living at home. The Music and Memory program has been proven to positively impact the lives of people living with these diseases as well as the lives of  their loved ones and caregivers. There are thousands of people living in your community who can benefit from this library service.

The meeting will be held at 10:00am at the Suffolk Cooperative Library System, 627 North Sunrise Service Road, Bellport, 11713. We are located on the north service road (Exit 55) off of Sunrise Highway. Please use the large parking lot on the EAST side of the building. Thank you!
