School Librarian Openings Across NY State

SCHOOL LIBRARIAN OPENINGS ACROSS NEW YORK STATE

Openings next school year in rural, suburban, and urban areas.  Most have some clerical support.  State-funded school library systems support the entire state with high quality professional development, free interlibrary loan, cooperative collection development programs, coordinated database and ebook purchasing and more.  The Section of School Librarians of the New York Library Association offers an annual spring conference in different parts of the state and a summer leadership retreat at Cornell University in Ithaca.

New York state has great school systems, health care, public libraries, transportation, culture, natural beauty and more.

Across New York state there are Certified School Librarian positions  going unfilled.  Most positions can be found on OLAS a free website that allows anyone to create a free account to access and apply to jobs.  The On-Line Application System for Educators (OLAS) is a cloud-based application serving school districts throughout New York State. Districts can view applicant specific information: resumes, cover letters,transcripts, portfolios, and more.  Candidates are able to apply to specific positions using one application and/or have an option of granting all participating school districts access to their application.
