From an email:
I was in touch with you or somebody in your department yesterday about a paid graduate internship being offered at the Michigan Technological University Archives and Copper Country Historical Collections this summer. Michigan Tech is a mid-size public university located in Michigan’s northwestern Upper Peninsula. Our University Archives and Historical Collections houses a wide array of manuscript materials and special formats documenting the social, cultural, environmental and industrial history of the region and the university.
We are seeking applicants currently enrolled in a graduate library science program, preferably with coursework or experience in archives. The internship offers a $2000 housing stipend and pays $10 per hour. The intern is expected to commit to 35 hours of work per week over the course of 7 weeks. The preferred start date is June 29, to coincide with our second summer session, although alternate start dates in June can be worked out.
I am attaching the job posting as well as a link to the announcement on our blog. If you or your students have any questions please direct them to me. Thank you for sharing this opportunity with your graduate students!
